Stories from the Web is managed by not-for-profit company, Digital Ink Drop CIC. Our mission statement is to, "use digital technology to develop readers and inspire writers."
Stories from the Web is a website that enables children to read extracts from recently published books, interviews and advice from famous writers and illustrators and send in their own work, be it stories, poems or drawings to be published on the website. There are lots of games and writing activities for children and young adults to engage with and the opportunity for them to give feedback on the site and on each-other's work.
Library authorities across the UK subscribe to the site which means that any child within that authority is automatically a member of Stories from the Web and can get a password and username to the site by visiting their local library. A current list of local authority members is here.
